This woman who was doomed to be a drunken bastard's wife
And even as a dead man he caused a lot of strife
By leaving all his money to the children

She had to borrow money to buy the children out
And she struggled with he freehold through seven years of drought
But she always said a prayer
Before she blew the candles out

Life was never easy but the wolf stayed from her door
