about

This song is written about Kathleen McArthur and Judith Wright, environmental activists from the Sunshine Coast. In the early 1970s they launched a direct action campaign against sand mining and succeeded in getting the whole Cooloola Coast turned into a National Park. I believe they are an inspiration to all campaigners - never give up!
Karen Law was awarded the Alistair Hulett Memorial Trophy 2020 for this song.
